PRESS RELEASE: Documentary Film about the Beer Culture of Bamberg Germany

bierfilm.de is very pleased to announce several screenings of the documentary film in Buffalo and Rochester, NY between 2-9 April, 2011.

The documentary celebrates the beer culture of Bamberg, Germany and cheers the hearts of beer lovers everywhere especially in the United States where a founding father is oft quoted as saying, "Beer is evidence that God loves us and wants us to be happy."

Bamberg is a cathedral city on the river Regnitz in the Franconia area of Germany, a world heritage site and a town with the proudest beer history in the world! The love for the "liquid gold" found in Bamberg is unmatched elsewhere. With almost 50 different beers in a town with 70,000 residents, 10 historical breweries, innumerable seasonal bock-beer keg tappings, the legendary Bamberg beer war, Bamberg is known as the town built on beer.

Experience a 90-minute film in the WNY area that documents the long history of an exceptional passion and you will have the chance to taste the famed Bamberg beers of Schlenkerla, Mahrs and Spezial!

Some facts may seem incredible but the film explains why beer is more than just a drink in Bamberg. For one thing is clear: There are stories to be told about beer in Bamberg!
